Adam Baron at BGS

On Wednesday 1st March, as part of our World Book Day events, Mrs Kirk and the English Department organised for Adam Baron to visit BGS. He worked with all of Year 7 during lesson one creating a dynamic, lively story with lots of our Year 7 students volunteering wonderful ideas for a shared story!

Then, two groups of students attended creative writing workshops led by Adam giving them an opportunity to create their own stories using the narrative elements he introduced them to and the elements we teach in imaginative writing here in school. The students were excellent and Adam commented on their fabulous stories showing how creative our students are at BGS!

Then, to finish off the day, our Year 12 students Finn and Poppy interviewed Adam about his career in writing- look out for the interview in the next edition of the newspaper!
