Bradford Schools Cross Country
Mr Swann reports,
On Thursday 19th January, I took our cross country runners to a very cold and frosty Northcliffe Park. This event was the city championships that acts as a qualifier for the West Yorkshire Championships, which will take place at the Grammar School of Leeds on the 4th February. To make that event all runners were aiming for a top 15 finish, Northcliffe is a hilly course made up of a bottom and top route, with each year group running slightly different variations of it.
Our runners did an amazing job with 8 students qualifying!
A huge well done to: Rubie Coulton in Yr 11 (4th place), Isabelle Jebb Yr 8 (3rd place), Zac Bamber Yr 11 (6th place) and all three members of the Temple family, Robbie Yr 10 (8th place), Eloise & Daniel in Yr 7 (15th & 5th place). Special mention to Rosie Thomas and Pippa Holiday for their amazing levels of resilience and their ability to run there own race. They also qualified to represent Bradford after a 13th & 15th place finish respectively. Outstanding by all of you.
